IN THE COMMUNITY AROUND THEM!
JANUARY 25, 2006 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - During the past several years, the AUSTIN MODELS & TALENT AGENCY and members of the TEXAS MODELS & TALENT FORUMS have donated time, passion, and financial support to a variety of charity organizations including, but not limited to: Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, Ride On Center for Kids, Young Woman's Alliance Foundation, PBS, Children's Hospital of Austin, Humane Society, Women's Advocacy Project, and many others.
Our friend photographers, models and talent have dedicated support through their donations, talents, skills and physical presence at a number of worthwhile events. As an example, model/actress CAROLEE GEE assisted by performing as "Marilyn Monroe" for a battered women's charity. The one night event helped raise over $100,000 in donations for that organization. Now, in 2007, we are taking our group efforts one huge step further than ever before. While we will still find time to help organizations such as those listed above, we have also launched our very aggressive "ORPHAN 2007" adventure. The goal is to help raise money and other much needed items for orphans living within the Republic of Honduras. This is being done in union with a charitable organization (501C3 in place). Near the end of the year, model Carolee Gee and myself, accompanied by a delegation of models and talent from the Texas Models & Talent Forum (as well as possibly a surprise Hollywood celebrity invited on our behalf), shall set sail by ship for an island off the coast of the Honduras where we shall present our achievement directly to the children themselves; much needed items, toys, clothing, and financial support.
Throughout the year and leading up to that trip, we will announce different venue's that we are organizing in order to raise funds and other much needed physical items for these orphan children. These fund raising events may include fashion shows, golf tournaments, auctions, and banquet dinners. Models, actors, and photographers are encouraged to take part. Through the Texas Models & Talent Forum (TM&T), we are organizing both the events and the volunteer assignments and activities. The forum is also adopting a child for financial sponsorship. TM&T, in its 6th year online serving the Texas talent community, has over 5,300 registered members and is the only G-Rated networking message board in the State of Texas.
