Hello and welcome to our charity adventure..! The goal for ORPHAN 2007 is fund raising in support of an orphanage located in the Honduras.
Honduras, officially the Republic of Honduras, is a country in Central America, bordered to the west by Guatemala, to the southwest by El Salvador, to the southeast by Nicaragua, to the south by the Pacific Ocean, at the Gulf of Fonseca, and to the north by the Gulf of Honduras and the Caribbean Sea. Our target orphanage is located in Rotan. Roatan is the largest of the three major Bay Islands located off of the northern coast of Honduras. Approximately 40,000 people live on the 40 square mile island, including the descendents of Caribbean slaves and British colonials, and Spanish-speaking families from mainland Honduras.
We are NOT the actual charity itself, but we are a group of concerned individuals dedicated to helping make a difference for these kids this year. Our goal is to plan events to raise funds that will be donated directly to the charity organization and the children themselves (all checks and/or substantially larger donations need to be made out directly to the charity organization).
Photographers, models and actors, as well as possibly guest celebrities, shall travel via a sponsoring cruise ship to the Honduras later this year in order to present what we have raised directly into the hands at the orphage itself. We shall document this in both video and photographs that will be available for view online at a later date.
Dedicating to donate time and efforts to assist, and as the key organizers, is the Austin Models & Talent Agency in Round Rock, Texas, Miss Carolee Gee, of GOLLY GEE PRODUCTIONS, and also members of the online model and talent message board community, the Texas Models & Talent Forum (TM&T). The TM&T has well over five thousand registered members and is the only G-Rated model and talent forum in the State of Texas.
We are currently also seeking additional individuals, groups, companies and businesses who would like to join us in our fund raising activities throughout the year. You may sign up to assist by Volunteering Online. While we are strictly volunteers ourselves, tax
deductible
documentation will be made available via the actual charity itself.
You may donate using the PayPal link provided below, or select a button for a pre-determined dollar amount. These initial funds are for costs incurred in setting up the fund raising events (advertising, printing, location rentals, etc.). Contact us to donate direct to the charity organization for tax receipt purposes
(501C3 in place).

In addition, the Texas Models & Talent Forum shall financially sponsor a child in the Honduras to cover the cost of their schooling. We will introduce this program and share the child's history shortly (watch the TM&T Forum for more details).
